will co-present on \\\"Modernizing Forms to Struts 2, Spring and Hibernate\\\"at the Rocky Mountain Oracle Users Group conference in
Denver, Colorado, from February 15th thru 17th.
Rob speaks around the world at various Oracle User Group conferences,
most recently at UKOUG. He has also contributed a chapter to the book\\\" Migrating to the Cloud\\\" describing how to modernize a Forms
application to ADF running in the Cloud.
Jigar
has been developing and implementing web applications using Java technologies
for over a decade. As a Software Architect, he is responsible for leading
the technical aspects of modernization projects at NEOS, where he
leverages that experience to modernize clients Oracle Forms, Powerbuilder and
.Net based systems to web and SOA-based application architectures.
This duo is presenting guidelines for the use of Struts 2, Spring and
Hibernate as a target platform for the conversion of Oracle Forms
applications. This platform will be provided context from a client case
study, where they will share lessons learned through their collective
experience.
They will also present a
comparison of Oracle ADF 11g and the Struts/Spring/Hibernate architecture. This information will be helpful in
users considering either option as a modern end-state for their Forms
application.

Robert Nocera, CTO of Vgo Software, will present "ADF Patterns for
Forms Conversion" at the UK Oracle Users Group conference in Birmingham,UK . This is an Encore Edition of his highly rated presentation from 2010's UKOUG!
The presentation outlines the use of 11g ADF Faces, ADF Business Components and JDeveloper as a target platform for modernization of Oracle Forms and some of the patterns that can be adopted in performing such a modernization. ADF 11g was built with Form Developers in mind and can accommodate the functionality in forms but often in a slightly different way.
Vgo was the first company to convert Oracle Forms to ADF 11g pre-release and has done several conversions for companies in the US since that time. The presentation is geared to developer and architect level attendees.

which will present findings of maturity of EIM in financial services
and insurance companies, and "Rationalization - Simplifying Your Oracle
Architecture", which will discuss business-oriented approaches to
optimizing and simplifying technology portfolios.
Mr. Nocera is
presenting "Drinking the Kool-Aid – My Journey to becoming an ADF
Believer", which will cover the Oracle ADF framework and how it can
benefit developers and organizations looking to adopt a mature web
development framework.

Baranovskis has been selected to present at this years UK Oracle Users Group 2008 Conference and Exhibition. The event will take place in the ICC in Birmingham from December 1st through December 5th, 2008.
Presentation Abstract:
This presentation will be given by Andrejus Baranovskis, Technical Director at Vgo Software and Oracle ACE Director. It will be conducted as a Masterclass session with live demonstrations developing sample applications to show how developers can increase productivity by working with JDeveloper 11g. The presentation will focus on ADF Task Flows in JDeveloper 11g, including lessons learned from real world enterprise-level application development using Oracle Fusion Middleware. Attendees will learn how to create different types of ADF Task Flows, how to use the various ADF Task Flow activities, and how to pass and return parameters to/from ADF Task Flows. A large portion of the presentation will also center on two crucial aspects of enterprise application development: using ADF Task Flows as Regions and Transaction Management within ADF Task Flows. Attendees will leave the presentation with a clear understanding of how to make better use of ADF’s power through a new generation of Oracle tools.
